It starts out as one of “those” types of movies, then shifts into one of “those” types of movies and ultimately becomes one of “those” types of movies. Basically, I think this is something special.
The “1 month later” mark quickly approaches and I’m still heavily thinking about this one. If you haven’t seen it yet, you should remedy that right now.
Why aren’t instant-classic films full of magic and child-like wonder made anymore?
Oh… right. J.J. Abrams just made one.
It’s so old-school Spielberg but with that stylish Abrams flair. Words like “spellbinding” and “goosebump-inducing” come to mind. Ladies and gentlemen, this is what movie magic looks like.
NEW FAVORITE SHOW: Friday Night Lights. I’m 2 episodes from ending the first season on DVD and, I gotta tell ya, I can’t wait to continue to season 2 and 3. This is one of the finest shows I have ever seen. It’s rough. It’s dirty. It pulls no punches whatsoever.
Great as the show is as a whole, I still have to say the best aspect is Connie Britton’s performance. As the could-have-been-archetypical coach’s wife, Britton is a fierce, fearless force to be reckoned with. Click the above photo to see her in action.
